Nandinath Lineage

The Nath Sampradaya can be divided into two schools : Nandinath Sampradaya and Adinath Sampradaya. Nandinath Sampradaya is famous for Maharshi Nandinath and is also called Kailasa Parampara. Nandinath Sampradaya is present in South India and Sri Lanka. Reference to Nandinath can be found in the Tamil text Tirumantiram. Mahayogi Gorakhnath belonged to Adinath Sampradaya. Adinath Sampradaya is present in North India, Maharashtra, and Nepal.

Siddha Chidiya Nathji Among Chaurasi Nath Siddhas, Shri Aarambhay Nath Ji Maharaj (Siddha Chidyanath Ji) is the only one. Palasani is a religious, historical village (city) on the banks of Mithadi river, 45 kilometers away from Jodhpur city in the south-east direction of Rajasthan. A grand monastery of Chidiya Nath ji is established here on the banks of the lake. About 560 years ago, Shri Chidiya Nath ji had taken a living samadhi here. It was built by Rao Jodhaji Jodhpur Naresh. Here the living mausoleum of Shri Lakkarnathji Maharaj, here the living mausoleum of Gulab Nathji Maharaj! Siddha Chidiya Nathji stood up and walked seven steps in the north direction and bowed down to Mother Earth and said - "Open your eyes to the earth like this, you will take the immortal mystery, the Yogi will take the tomb." As soon as she did this, Bhumata got confined in herself! Chidiya Nathji was given the honor of Rajguru of Marwar. Since then the titles of Raj Guru and Ayas Ji Maharaj were given to the Nath Mahants. Adesh Adesh !
